My name is Cielo Barrios (they/them), and I'm an illustrator currently working towards a BFA in Creative Media. I am always creating characters and stories in both realistic and fantastical settings and exploring themes like identity, growing up, and what it means to love. My influences heavily stem from animation, comics, and folktales. Besides illustration, I enjoy other forms of writing and crafts like poetry, book-binding, and clay sculpting.
I also have a small business on Etsy where I sell keychains, stickers, and commissions.
Here you can find some of my illustrations from the past 3 years. For my digital illustrations, I use Procreate and Clip Studio Paint. For my traditional illustrations, I have a mixed media process which can include: alcohol markers, colored pencils, watercolor, ink, and gouache. These illustrations show a mix of original character art, fan art, and commission work.
